Tractor Sales Beat Forecasts for June

"Our data base for tractor retail sales and field inventory is derived from AEM’s monthly Flash Reports.

Under 40 Horsepower Tractors – Monthly retail sales were 5,275 units below our monthly forecast and the year to date sales exceeded our YD forecast by 3,091 units or 2.7%.

40-99 Horsepower Tractors – Monthly retail sales were 7,382 units, just 74 units below our monthly forecast while the YTD total sales were 36,430 or 10.6% ahead of our YTD forecast.

100+ Horsepower Tractors – Retail sales for this category was 1,819 units as compared to our monthly forecast of 1,480 units or 20.7% above forecast.

4WD Tractors – Retail sales were 110 units ahead of our monthly forecast and YTD retail sales totaled 1,446 units, 19.7% ahead of our forecast.

The pent-up demand for agricultural tractors and equipment remained as the demand for smaller horsepower tractors continued to outstrip the current inventory levels at dealerships and has pressured manufacturers to increase production as much as possible."
